We finally started school this week, I know it's really late but it took me this long to get it together.
I have a tutor for Brennan and Susannah, she's a friend of mine and also is a journalist for the local paper. She's teaching Latin and English, and today was the first day. It went well and it's also a chance for the kids to keep in touch with a friend from Westover. Her son Beau, was in Susannah's class. Jaime also taught Latin and Spanish at Westover as well. There are other things in the works as well to help with home schooling and I'm anxious for them to get off the ground and running!

Summer is ending! I haven't been able to get out in the garden much, but I do have potatoes, carrots and too many small green tomatoes! The kids planted their own gardens, albeit late in the season, they have enjoyed watching their plants grow (or not).
Next week we go on a family vacation for the first time in...well maybe just ever!
Then the week after we'll start school, and yes I'll be home schooling since Westover shut down.
Until then we have a whole lot to get done, painting and installing a new floor downstairs, pickles to make, potatoes to dig up, and school to schedule and get in order. Lots to do before summer's official end and we get back into the swing of school and cold temps. But with that Buzz will be starting his new job as a CPC. We look forward to having him home earlier and I know he looks forward to not having to drive to Spokane every day as well as answering call outs at any hour, day or night!
